Decorated by me in the 1990s, this was the prototype for a line of ornaments I made for the craft fairs I did back in California so very long ago. Since all are now sold and this is my second-to-last one (of which I do not plan to make any more) I now offer her for sale.
In a femmy Shabby Chic meets Antique Victorian look, I decorated a Boyds Mohair Bear (c.1997) in beige lace, mauve wired ribbon, silk flowers and a genuine Victorian die cut that I turned into a necklace. The sentiment on the Victorian scrap reads LOVE DO COME. I added a gold cord at the back so that the bear might be hung on a tree or from a wall or....
The bear is fully jointed, is poseable and can sit. The original Boyds ribbon tag I left intact on the thigh. The bear stands 5" high and is about 3-1/4" wide.
The ornament can be used for the nursery, at Valentines Day and Christmas.
I honestly can't believe this ornament is that old - but it is!
