With a striking romantic appearance, may I offer this Modernist hard plastic wedding ring box. Dating to the 1940s, the container was made in England and is designed as a heart that fits in the palm of your hand. The box opens up to reveal a velvet pad (also heart shaped) and a bit of ribbon so that a ring can be tucked inside. The bottom of the box indicated the jewelers name and address.
Condition: Excellent front and back - velvet and ribbon is clean but does show a look of "age".
Size: 1-3/4" wide x 2" high. Depth is about 1/4" and a bit.
Note: the case does not click open or shut - it's loose. I think this was made thin so that the gent could keep this piece in his pocket easily. Definitely seems to be for a wedding ring.
Final Comments: Ready for use once more!
