Dating to the late 1800s may I offer this Victorian era silver pin in the shape of a buckle. Covered in pave glass turquoise cabs and highlighted by white rhinestones, the pin has slightly darkened with age. Simple c-catch at the back to hold the brass pinstem in place. Condition is excellent with no stones missing and a very nice dark patina to the pin. The look is perfect!
Metal Content: Sterling Silver with a Hallmark of Sterling on the reverse
Size: 1-3/8" wide x 1-5/8" high.
Weight: 7.5 grams
Final Comments: The sentiment of this pin has always been known to those who know antique jewelery. Presented by a husband or fiance to his intended, the meaning is "my heart is buckled to yours" or in other words, "I'm taken cause my heart is shackled." Oh, those Victorians!
