Dating to the early 1900s or so, here's an embossed greeting card - the cover only - that reads BEST WISHES to the front and depicts a vase of purple violets. No insert which means you can add your own sentiment to the inside.
The front cover is in terrific shape and the inside is very clean. the back of the cover reads PRINTED IN GERMANY and there are a few very light stains/surface marks. The spine of the card has been split where the original cording "moved up" the spine.
This is a terrific piece for repurposing. What I would do is glue the cover shut and place it on another card which could include your own verse. Embossed covers like this are getting harder to find so saving/repurposing what remains in the world is paramount. You just don't find beauty or care in manufacture like this anymore!
