Dating to the 1950s/1960s or so, here's a Victorian Revival pin or pendant combination that holds a multitude of NATURAL Australian opals. I hope the photos show you just how much flash is in the gems - you just don't see rainbow hues of color like THIS anymore! Safety catch at the back to hold the pinstem in place. Nice bale loop at the back for up to a medium weight chain. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, flakes off any of the opals! All the stones are prong set and quite secure in their settings!
Metal Content is 14K Yellow Gold with applied oxidizing to make the piece appear older than it is.
Weight is 7.9 grams.
Size is 1-5/8" long x 1" wide.
Opals are various sizes but come out to about 3.35CT TW approx. You just don't find pieces like THIS anymore! I mean who wouldn't want Queen Victoria's favorite gemstone in their jewelry collection!
