Dating to the 1950s/1960s or so, may I offer this wonderful pair of stud earrings filled with blue sapphires and white diamonds (tested). The earrings are a classic cluster, 3 tiers of stones with the diamonds being accents only - deeply set in white gold while the sapphires are set in yellow gold. Gorgeous design, gorgeous coloring! Condition is perfect with no problems I can spot. No nuts to the earrings but (a) every lady has her fair share of nuts in her jewelry container [you only ever can wear one pair] and (b) no nuts means less weight which means a smaller price!
Metal Content is 14K Gold - white and yellow. There are no hallmarks to the earrings, I suspect they were on the missing nuts. Metal was gently tested for content.
Fronts measure 7/16" across; height is about 5/16".
Combined weight is 2.5 grams.
Diamonds: 5 faceted rounds to each stone at about 1 point each. No grading but G-H color. Total weight is .10CT TW.
Blue Sapphires: 11 stones to each earring for a total count of 22. Each stone measures 2.25mm each (4 points); total weight to the pair is therefore .88CT TW.
..........................Total gemstone weight is .98CT TW but the earrings were most likely sold at 1CT TW.
Final Comments: Absolutely gorgeous!
