Dating anywhere from the early 1900s to the late 1920s, may I offer 3 UNCUT fabric hat or dress labels from M Maloney, St. Louis; coloring is Dark Blue on a Silvery Cream. If you are into costuming, then you know how important it is to have a label on the inside of the piece. While M Maloney is no longer in business, these labels would work well in any piece of unmarked clothing or unmarked hat.
Condition: Excellent! The labels were stored in a wood trunk for the last 90+ years. The estate in which I found these beauties had only a married couple as the owners - they had no children. The wife was a seamstress and while the estate yielded a lot of loose fabric and sewing components, it did not offer up much in the way of millinery which leads me to believe that the lady of the house was M. Maloney herself and created dresses.
Size: The label in blue, just the blue informational section only, measures 5-1/4" x 1-5/16". The label you will get will have additional ribbon on either side - approximately an additional 18". So if lining a hat, you can wrap most of the ribbon on the inside and end in the actual Maloney label. Again, you will get all 3 labels intact in an uncut length.
Final Comments: Just fabulous!
