Dating to the late 1890s or so, here's a SINGLE black glass bead, round in shape, with a painted white design to both sides - a 6 pointed curved star as well as a center daisy? floral? wheel?
The bead measures 5/8" across and has a depth of about 7/16". Single hole for threading. 1 small chip in the glass edge that the maker decided to work with - the gold edging goes right over it.
Again, only one.
