Being an craftsperson, you try all sorts of things - you are always looking for the "perfect" design. Well, here's one that I think is rather unique - it's quite a bit different from all the other items I have created....so far.
Starting with a large red lacquer heart, I covered it in tulle and layers of fabric. I added a spun cotton face with a copyright free graphic, some marabou feathers and chenille hands that hold a green & silver garland with a small sign that reads HOPE. Some silver dresden accents and red paper hearts complete the adornment. There is a silver cording at the top so that the piece might be hung anywhere.
Size is 5-1/2" high x 4" wide. Depth is about 2-1/2".
Right now she is the ONLY one of her kind. I don't know if i will make more.
