Dating to the late 1980s, early 1990s, may I offer this stunning sterling silver and inlaid material brooch - pin depicting 3 primitive figures dancing. The pin was created by award winning jewelry designer Jenny Byrne for ZEALANDIA; the pin is from the TERRA COLLECTION, inspired by the rock art of the Southwestern US. Safety catch at the back to hold the pinstem in place. Condition is excellent with no problems I can spot save for a bit of pink polish residue around the bezels; a light wash will take care of this.
Metal Content is Sterling Silver with Hallmarks of Zealandia (c) 925 on the reverse.
Size is 2-9/16" x 2-3/4"/ Weight is a robust 17.8 grams.
Final Comments: Zealandia jewelry has been around since 1987. From their site "Zealandia jewelry is made by hand in a sculptural process that evokes story, scene, and our deep love of the natural world. Each piece is hand crafted and is truly a piece of wearable art. Designs are inspired by nature, spiritual and mythological art, and history, creating statement jewelry that honors our earth and her wondrous natural materials." Just a fabulous pin!
Original retail was around $150. Well, I think I can do a bit better on price!
