May I offer...
WHEN DID I MAKE: Holiday 2017
ITEM: ONE OF A KIND! An everyday ornament (though it could be for Christmas) in the Victorian Revival style featuring components that are both modern and antique. Starting with light cardstock, I added a Victorian trade card depicting Kate Greenaway girls dressed in pink and carrying an Easter Lily. For embellishment I added tinsel/wool trim which also acts as the handle to the piece. There is a further vintage design on the back of Cupid with the phrase "Live Each Day with Grace".
COMPONENTS: Modern cardstock, modern tinsel/wool trim, Victorian trade card, 1930s B&W Illustration of Cupid, paper hearts
SIZE: Not including the ribbon hanger, the centerpiece measures 3-7/8" x 4-1/2".
WEIGHT: Lightweight. Will work well on a feather tree as well as a fake or traditional real fir tree!
FINAL COMMENTS: Like any ornament, this piece should be wrapped in tissue and laid flat when storing to preserve both the graphics and the ribbon. Nothing heavy should be placed on top.
NOTE: When I say ONE OF A KIND I mean just that - the buyer is the only person to have an ornament that has not been produced in a number greater than ONE! Most of my Victorian paper stash is "1 of each" - the same goes for my trade cards, Valentines, Christmas cards, etc.
