May I offer.....
AGE: Holiday 2017
ITEM: ONE OF A KIND! Starting with a chenille SNOW BABY (my own creation and design) I perched it on top of a Japanese honeycomb ornament of pale pink and silver (dotted with Japan glass beads). The Snow Baby wears an outfit of pink chenille that has been distressed and glittered. She carries a small greeting card section that reads HAPPY EASTER. At the back of the ornament is a portion of an old foil corsage over greenery. The face of the Snow Baby is a copy of a Victorian die cut I have in my collection. (Sorry it appears faded in the photos - that's just my flash diffusing it a bit).
COMPONENTS: Greeting card, Unknown Maker, American C.1950. Chenille, contemporary. Silver tinsel, contemporary. Glass beads, Japanese C.1950. Silver glitter, contemporary. Greenery, contemporary. Paper ornament, Japanese C.1950. Foil corsage, Japanese C.1950.
SIZE: From top of baby to bottom of ball measures 5"; width is 3-3/4".
WEIGHT: Lightweight - will work anywhere!
FINAL COMMENTS: Because there is glitter all over the Snow Baby, some of it is bound to shake off during transit and through the years. Not to worry. Just remember this is how the wonderful items of the 1950s got their own unique look!
