May I offer....
YEAR MADE: Holiday 2017
ITEM: A little more labor intensive than my other offerings - here's another Halloween ornament I made only this time made with ART DECO graphics!
Using a laminated graphic (for protection and strength) from Beistle archives as the head and belly (which states HAPPY HALLOWEEN), I fashioned the main body (and tail) of this dapper Black Cat out of beige chenille. I then added a sucker (wrapped in cellophane) to the gent's arm, added black cuffs to the arms and legs, then applied a single dot of bright orange to the tops. I also added a gold thread so that the ornament can be hung anywhere in the house.
CONDITION: Pretty darn nice I must say.
SIZE: About 3" x 1-7/8" wide.
FINAL COMMENTS: Part of a very limited series I am making - as most people know, the best chenille is no longer made in the United States nor in Japan. The chenille currently available is from China and is quite coarse to the touch, not soft as that made in the past.
NOTE: This ornament has been made with chenille I hoarded from the 1980s and through the 1990s - once it is gone, it is gone.
