May I offer….
AGE: C.1930 or so
ITEM: From the Art Deco era, here's a single perfume bottle container - perfume bottle holder - holding one single glass perfume bottle ORIGINAL to the piece. At some time during its life, someone added a Victorian die cut to the front and a bit of glitter - to pretty it up so to speak. The die cut is of an angel with a blue drape, holding a garland of pink roses. I must admit I added the blue bow to the glass perfume (it just makes it look prettier).
CONDITION: Pretty darn nice. No outside stains. The inside has discoloration from either a perfume overload or spilling - I did not try to clean. The glass bottle has no chips or cracks - just a bit of residue on the inside of the bottle. Oh, and the dark spot you see in the stopper, well it's a bubble in the glass and not a defect. It shows dark in my photos but in person, it hardly shows in the stopper.
HALLMARKS: None.
SIZE: From top of stopper to bottom measures 3-5/8" - width at the bottom is about 1-13/16" square.
FINAL COMMENTS: Terribly cute and ready for a new home!
