A little more labor intensive than my other offerings - here's another of my Halloween ornaments.
I fashioned the body of this black cat out of chenille and a copy of a vintage Beistle die cut. The dapper fellow carries a Toffee Apple - Delicious but Deadly! The coloring of the gent is black (well, he IS a black cat!), all the better to match the face; he also wears a collar of orange crepe paper. Oh, and yes, he has a tail! Gold thread has been added so that the ornament can be hung anywhere in the house.
Size: About 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" wide.
Final Comments: Part of a very limited series I am making - as most people know, the best chenille is no longer made in the United States nor in Japan. The chenille currently available is from China I believe and is coarse, not soft as in the past. This ornament has been made with chenille I hoarded from the 1980s and through the 1990s - once it is gone, it is gone.
