#183 ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN Sterling Silver Handled Brush - Glue Pot, Foster & Bailey
ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN Sterling Silver Handled Brush - Glue Pot, Foster & Bailey

May I offer….

AGE: C.1900 or so

ITEM: If you've got the glue pot, I've got the brush! Yep, even in the old days, do you think the Royal Family would brush glue from an ordinary container? Nope - only silver (or gold) would do, and this silver based, amethyst crystal topped brush would have been more than adequate in brushing glue onto a piece of paper.

CONDITION: Very nice with no dents or dings to the silver. The amethyst crystal is nice with only some small flea bites near the edges (visible only with a 10X loupe).

METAL CONTENT: Sterling Silver

HALLMARKS: F&B (Foster & Bailey) STERLING Pat'd

SIZE: Length is about 2-11/16". The silver piece has a width of 1-3/16" wide on the top; on the underside, the width is just about 1"; the bottle would need a width of just under 1" for the silver piece to fit.

WEIGHT: 12.5 grams

FINAL COMMENTS: Won't it be fun searching for jar to fit the brush!
