Dating to the 1960s or so may I offer this rather large chenille Santa Claus ornament. Santa has a painted clay face and he is dressed in belt and boots. He carries in his arms a green chenille tree and a hard plastic snowman. A single dot of silver Dresden paper acts as the buckle to Santa's belt and there is a silver cord at the top for hanging. Condition is very good with no problems that I can spot - the ornament was stored in a plastic bag for a very long time. Though there is no Japan paper label on the piece, the ornament is definitely made of Japanese components as the chenille is silky soft as it should be.
Size: Large at 5-1/2" high x about 2-1/2" wide.
Final Comments: Very lightweight so would display well on a feather tree if positioned on the lower branches.
