Japan ornaments from the 1960s have always been a favorite of mine. I grew up with them and I find their simple look so nostalgic. May I offer this creation to bring back those days of old.
Item: Made of pipe chenille and spun cotton from Japan, I started this ornament off by making the body a glass bulb. This little golden haired girl carries a chenille Christmas tree and wears a cap of white and a scarf of red. Her arms and legs are also chenille and her feet end in black boots.
Size: About 2-3/4" high x 1-1/4" wide. Perfect as a package decoration or a feather tree - it is very lightweight.
Final Comments: Part of a limited series I started a few years back and yes, I will be making more.
