Dating to the At Deco era, C.1930/1940 or so, may I offer, from France, a silverplate and art glass bead (agate-like striated beads) rosary - a souvenir from Lourdes. With a center Virgin Mary panel, the back depicts the Apparition at Lourdes; the pater beads are small medallions/charms. The cross is nicely detailed with the Cathedral of Lourdes to the North, Jesus and Mary to the East/West and the Apparition at Lourdes to the South. The back of the cross reads "Souvenir de N.D. de Lourdes". Condition is very nice with a mellow patina about the whole piece. I am sure that some of the beads have a nick or two in places but to the naked eye, I sure can't spot anything. 65 beads - that's the 59 plus the 6 paters (the correct number).
Metal Content: Silverplate - silver tone metal - silver plate. There are no hallmarks.
Size: From back of Rosary to bottom of cross measures 18-1/2" (doubled). From top of center medal to bottom of cross measures 6-7/8". Cross measures 1-1/2" x 1". From top of center medal to back of rosary measures about 12" (24" doubled). Definitely a rosary for an adult.
Weight: 20.3 grams
