From France and dating to the early 1900s or so, may I offer this silver tone/silver plate medal/pendant depicting the Basilica at Lourdes on one side and the appearance of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette Soubirous on the other. The metal is thin and does show punching at the top of the bale. This would be normal if there were silver marks at the top, but I see nothing - hence my determination that the medal is silver plate/silverplate - silver colored rather than solid silver.
Condition: Very nice with a nice shine to the silver. Good strike to both sides.
Metal Content: Silver plate or silver tone metal.
Hallmarks: None that I can find.
Size: 1/2" wide x 13/16" approx.
Weight: .6 grams
Final Comments: Ready to be used.
