From France and dating to the 1930s or so may I offer this stunning floral embellishment, applique or millinery embellishment! Made of silk, hand dyed it seems, the floral is composed of 3 layers, features sugar pips (yellow) at the center and has one single leaf. The entire piece is sewn to a backing of crinoline/buckrum.
Condition: Very nice with no fraying or shattering. Color differentiation is apparent and there are a few spots that look like water marks though they may be marks from the dying process.
Size: A large 5" high/wide with the protruding leaf adding another 1" poking out from one side. Final Comments: Too bad I only have one.
