May I offer…
AGE: C.1930 or so
ITEM: A pair of pierced earrings with cutwork fronts (hearts) and a faceted round glass paste (clear). The ear mechanisms are simple shepherd hooks of yellow gold - the original clip back mechanisms were broken so I had to replace - my own jeweler did the conversion. The earrings are definitely of a European manufacture.
CONDITION: Very nice with no problems I can spot - you might need to find a plastic stopper for the back of the earwire to keep it firmly in place.
METAL CONTENT: 10K Gold Earwires - Silver fronts. Being of European manufacture, the silver could be anywhere from 800 to 900 quality - but I'll settle on the lower side for my description.
HALLMARKS: None. Metal was gently acid tested for content.
SIZE: Fronts measure 7/16" high/wide. Slightly concave form to the pieces.
WEIGHT: 1.8 grams combined
FINAL COMMENTS: Pretty darn cute!
