May I offer…
AGE: C.1940/1950 or so
ITEM: I have had a lot of these gilt metal frames before but never one with a white rhinestone edge! The original easel is intact and the faux velvet back board is held in place by means of "fold over" gold tabs at the back.
CONDITION: Very nice with the original CONCAVE glass intact! The faux velvet back shows a patina of old age - the gold is still bright and shiny in all the right places. The image on the inside of the frame is something I added - a reproduction of a Victorian Lady dressed in Wedding Finery. It can be removed or left in the frame as you deem fit.
METAL CONTENT: Gilt Metal - Gold over Base Metal
HALLMARKS: None that I can find. A portion of the original paper tag remains at the top of the easel on the reverse.
SIZE: 7-1/2" x 5-3/8". Image size is 6-1/4" x 4-1/4".
FINAL COMMENTS: I only have the one!
